One excellent hiking trail near Denver is the Golden Summit Hiking Trail in Golden, CO. This 1.8-mile trail offers a family-friendly hiking experience that is a great hike for kids and leashed dogs. The Golden Summit Hiking Trail takes hikers from Downtown Golden to Castle Rock, which offers a beautiful 360° view of the area.

Another excellent trail near Denver is Mount Morrison Hiking Trail in Morrison, CO. This 3.6-mile trail is much more difficult and is recommended for only experienced hikers and their leashed dogs. The Mount Morrison Hiking Trail is an out-and-back trail that begins at Entrance 4 of Red Rocks on Titans Road in Morrison.

The North Table Loop Hiking Trail in Golden, CO is another excellent trail near Denver. This 7.7-mile trail is perfect for intermediate hikers and their leashed dogs. North Table Loop Hiking Trail is aptly named, as it is a loop trail that beings on the northern end of the main North Table parking lot located east of State Highway 93. WARNING: Rattlesnakes are common on North Table Mountain.

The final hiking trail near Denver that we will highlight is Mount Falcon East Loop Hiking Trail in Morrison, CO. This 9.2-mile loop, out-and-back trail allows leashed dogs and is a great choice for intermediate hikers. This trail begins at the upper lot of Mount Falcon Park and offers a number of beautiful scenic views of the area!
